Tennis no Ouji sama (The Prince of Tennis)

Can you say "diva"? Atobe is the captain of Hyoutei's tennis club. He's got a big ego but hey, that's why we love him! Being Hyoutei's captain, the undefeated Atobe is head of the club's 200+ members and is even the class president. When the team needs a win, they know they can count on Atobe to make it happen. He is respected and revered by everyone for his skills and accomplishments. He's also quite intelligent and just happens to be filthy rich, always getting whatever he wants one way or another. What Atobe lacks in modesty he makes up for with skill. Not only can he talk the talk but also walk the walk.

What can I say about Atobe...? If there were a rating above 5, I'd give it to him. He's definitely one of my favorite characters, second only to Fuuma, and owns a third of my soul. If you've ever wondered, the period in front of all my 'lil faces is Atobe's mole. Well, Atobe/Suwabe's mole since they have one in the same spot. Its name is Mole san. .^^ It's just something my friend and I made up. Anyway~ Atobe has an I'm-better-than-you tone of voice, which fits his personality very well. He's a bocchama, after all. What I love about Atobe is that though he boasts a lot, he has the skills to back it up. Atobe is an awesome character, but he's also got to be one of the dorkiest when you factor in all his songs. I mean, come on, what do you think this site is named after? He has a song where he sings about his mole! Cracktastic~

During the Seishun Gakuen Teikyuusai '03 event, Suwabe stated that Atobe is a really easy role for him to play. In fact, when he first saw what Atobe looked like, he knew that the role had to be his. They've got the same mole, after all! Overall, I can't imagine anyone but Jun Jun effectively pulling off Atobe's voice.
