| ABOUT | ||
Suwabe Junichi is a seiyuu (voice actor) for the company Haikyou whose work spans many different areas of voice work, including narrations, radio DJing, and the ever popular voicing anime/game characters. Most of his fame arguably comes from his portrayal of the Hyoutei Tennis Club captain, Atobe Keigo, from Tennis no Ouji sama (The Prince of Tennis.) Though his job often keeps him busy until late in the night, he enjoys what he does very much. He's reassured fans on more than one occasion that he reads all mail he receives, so do show him your support by sending him a little note. Fortunately for foreign fans, he understands and is fluent in English. Among Suwabe's favorite things are food, dogs, and cars. If you read his diary, you'll find many entries about food, often accompanied by pictures. He has a very soft spot for dogs and owns a black and tan smooth coat chihuahua named Zero, the "Lord Destroyer" of his home. One of Suwabe's special points is that he has licenses for driving many different types of vehicles. Needless to say, he loves cars, whether they're classics or souped up exotic sports cars. As stated in an issue of NewType, driving is a form for relaxation for him and he'll often take the long way home. |

| VOICE | ||
Though some may not realize, Jun Jun has a wide range of voices. He can speak in very deep, sexy tones, or go all the way up to fairly high tones that are perfect for dorky characters. However, he is often cast as either cool characters or bad guys, which more often utilizes his deeper voice so not too many are familiar with his higher tones. Some say he always sounds the same, but that's more because he often gets cast in similar roles. Jun Jun is also known as the "gaijin seiyuu" because he often voices foreigners. Aside from voicing anime characters, Suwabe also does a lot of work in narrating. When doing narrations, his voice sounds like those voiceovers you're used to hearing all the time. Though they shouldn't be labeled as "generic" since there is definitely talent needed to narrate, the voices he uses really do sound like ones you hear everywhere. |

| UNITS | ||
Suwabe is the leader of a few seiyuu groups: Crispy Otoken Band, Nazo no Shin Unit STA*MEN, Otome Banchou, and Otsu JAPAN. Crispy Otoken Band comes from when Takahashi Hiroki was his co-personality on the radio show Shuuei Gakuen Otome Kenkyuubu, or Otoken for short. Suwabe was often referred to as Leader, or senpai. One single, Ikenai Crispy Magic, was released under the Crispy Otoken Band name. Nazo no Shin Unit STA*MEN is a unit comprised of seven seiyuu: Kishio Daisuke, Suzumura Kenichi, Takahashi Hiroki, Toriumi Kousuke, Yasumura Makoto, Yoshino Hiroyuki, and of course, Suwabe Junichi. They've released one single (Kimi no Tame ni), two DVDs, and have had held many events. They're a real fun bunch to watch. Lastly, there are Otome Banchou and Otsu JAPAN, Suwabe's unit with second gen Otoken co-personality Suzuki Tatsuhisa (lovingly known as Tatsu or Tattsun), the second and third units spawned from the radio show. They've released three maxi singles and an album as Otome Banchou, and one single as Otsu JAPAN. With Tatsu's innocence (which is in trouble!) and Suwabe's willingness to tease his kouhai, the show is a riot to listen to. |
